About Us

Steve Yarwood

Steve is the Invisible Folk producer and sound recordist. He also manages social media, broadcasting platforms and a myriad of back-office functions. Steve was born in Fleetwood and grew up just outside Blackpool, moving south to further his education in 1977. After leaving university he began a 36 year career with BT that began in engineering and ended in finance. Next stop Invisible Folk.

Steve lives with his wife Jean and a black cat called Spider in rural north Bedfordshire. Here he converts fragile audio tapes to digital, facilitates the recording of oral histories, goes Nordic Walking, is a member of Sharnbrook Community Choir and is a third generation supporter of Blackpool FC.
