The first event run by the Chesham Literary Festival was a Poetry Competition. Steered by Jon Bickley, Ben Batten and Mark Jackson-Hancock and run in the Spring of 2023 there were three categories, Chesham resident, Under 11 and the rest of the world. The event was so successful we will be running another poetry competition in 2024.
The winner of the Chesham resident category and the Rest of the world category was Valerie Jack for her poem To the Eastern Edge with Mother.
The Judge's choice prize was won by Karen Luke for her poem Dog's Bone.
